Hint: A salt is either a combination of acid or base. It could be prepared by the combination of two acids, two bases, or a combination of either an acid or a base.

Complete Step by Step Solution:
\[N{H_4}Br\] or ammonium bromide is a salt of ammonia and hydrogen bromide. It is a type of inorganic compound that has the appearance of white crystalline solids. It is soluble in water and has major applications in photography in films.

\[N{H_4}Br\] is a type of acidic salt that is formed by the neutralisation of hydrobromic acid (HBr) with a weak base named ammonium hydroxide ( \[N{H_4}OH\] ). When the aqueous solution of hydrogen bromide is prepared it turns out to be slightly acidic in nature and has a ph value that is less than 7.

When a neutralisation reaction is carried out between a combination of a strong acid and a weak base, the resultant salt that is formed is known as an acidic salt.

In the combination of a strong acid with a weak base, the resultant will have more properties of acid. A strong base when combined with a weak acid will have the property of a stronger base.
Strong acid + weak base = Acidic solution with a ph less than 7.
Strong base + weak acid = Basic solution with a ph more than 7.

Note: Ammonium bromide has a wide variety of applications such as:
1)It is used to fireproof wooden furniture.
2)It is used for the manufacturing of various medicines and has major pharmaceutical applications.
3)It is used to control the formation of fungi, bacteria, and various algae and is widely used in the management of wastewater.
4) It is widely used in lithography and the process of engraving.
