JEE Main 2016

JEE Main is regarded as one of India's most difficult tests, with over 12 lakh students attempting to gain admission to one of the 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 23 IIITs, or 23 GFTIs. The National Testing Agency will administer JEE Main (NTA). 

  • Date of examination (Offline): April 3, 2016 

  • Online examination: April 9, 2016, and April 10, 2016

This year, the authorities have granted candidates only one attempt and even in 2016, only one attempt was present. Candidates will have the option of appearing for one or all of the exams, depending on their availability and preparation. JEE Main 2016 will be both, online and offline based with questions drawn from a vast database compiled by a team of specialists. JEE exams were held on April 3, April 9, and April 10, 2016.


JEE Main 2016 (Set-H) Question Paper Analysis

  • Physics

The majority of the questions in this section were moderate to easy. The most commonly asked questions were from Current Electricity and Heat & Thermodynamics followed by Measurements and Errors, Rotational Motion, and Semiconductor Devices. 


  • Mathematics

The majority of the questions were moderately difficult, and the topics Circle, Limits, Matrices, and Sequence and Series were mostly covered. This part was considered to be lengthy by the candidates.


  • Chemistry

Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Inorganic Chemistry each had the same proportion of questions. The majority of the questions were simple, and the entire part consisted of memory questions.
