JEE Syllabus for both JEE Main and JEE Advanced Exam has been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on their official website. 1. Is the JEE Main and Advanced syllabus the same?

No, the JEE Main and Advanced syllabus are different from one another. Although both the exams are conducted based on Class 11 and Class 12 topics, the exam patterns and topics are entirely different. However, few PCM chapters can be common for both JEE Main and Advanced syllabus but they have different weightage in both the exams.

2. What is the minimum qualifying mark required to sit for the JEE Advanced Examination?

Only the candidates who qualify the JEE Main Exam are considered eligible for the JEE Advanced paper. The qualifying marks to sit for JEE Advanced keeps on changing every year and the cutoff is decided after the declaration of JEE Main Result. Only the top 2.5 lakh candidates from unreserved as well as reserved categories will be selected for JEE Advanced Examination.
