New Exam Centres Added - How to Select the Exam Centres and all Other Information
The JEE council every year releases its list of Exam Centres which will help the students to register in their nearest exam centre. The JEE council makes sure that the students can have access to their nearest centres and thus they provide enough exam centres all over the country. Not only in India, but JEE Mains also give access to the students outside India as well.
In this article, we are precisely going to discuss all this information which is based on JEE Exam centres. We are including the discussion for both the exams - JEE Mains and JEE Advance. Read the article to get your required information.
JEE Mains Centres and JEE Advanced Centres
For JEE Mains Centre 2022, The NTA (National Testing Agency) added 12 new centres in the foreign cities as well. This adds to the older 13 cities for the JEE Main. The NTA has released the list of all the JEE Main and Advance Exam Centres in their official brochure.
The candidates who are appearing for JEE 2022 can check their respective preference-wise exam centres from their official website. The authorities have released separate exam centres for India and a separate list for the foreign nations. The NTA has increased their exam centres in India and also in the foreign cities. There are 501 exam cities and 25 foreign cities which will be serving as JEE Exam Centres for 2022.
The council has re-opened the registration from April 18th to 25th of April. When the students fill up their exam forms, they are required to fill up the exam centres according to their preference. Further, the students can check all the details related to their exam centres once the admit card for 2022 is released.
For the JEE Advanced 2022, the Indian Institute of Technology of Bombay has already released the centre lists. The applicants who are appearing for this exam can check the Covid-19 protocols which they are required to follow before going to the exam centres. While filling up the application form for JEE Advanced 2022, the students are required to select 8 cities or towns according to their preference. The JEE Advanced council will then hold their exam across 7 IIT zones all over India. The JEE Advance exam is scheduled to be on 28th of August. Before the exam, the candidates are required to check the details which will give the details about the exam centres list and other required information will also be shared.
Change in Exam Centres JEE Exam 2022
If the candidates want to, they can change their exam centres for JEE Exams 2022. This can be done via candidate re-login. The NTA will re-open their correction window, once the conclusion of application process for the session 2 is completed.
What Are the Exam Guidelines Required to be Followed by the Students? JEE Exams 2022 Guidelines
Exam guidelines are some of the do’s and don'ts which the students are advised to follow. Let us check the guidelines given as under:
The candidates must reach the exam centre prior to 60 minutes before the exam starts.
The applicants are advised to reach the exam centre according to their shifts or slots allocated to them in their admit card. This will ensure overcrowding of the students there.
The students are advised not to leave the exam hall without the permission of the invigilator.
Students must not carry any items which are firmly restricted by the JEE council.
The students are required to adhere with the Covid-19 guidelines as mentioned by the NTA.
How Should I Choose My Exam Centre?
In other competitive exams, the students face a lot of problems as there are less exam centres. But the NTA looked into this matter and hence not only in India but also in the foreign cities, NTA has arranged JEE exam centres. This will be beneficial for the Indian as well as for the foreign students.
The National candidates get the choice of selecting the examination centres from the 501 cities which are spread all over India while the foreign aspirants can select from the 13 provided international exam centres. This is to be noted that the students are to be admitted on the first-come-first-served basis.
Yet, in times the students do not get the preferred locations and thus they have to compromise anyway.
Steps to Select Exam Centre
Let's check the steps on how they can select their exam centre. The steps are as follows:
Step 1: Log onto the website for the JEE mains.
Step 2: Now click on the button to register for the entrance exam.
