IIT Patna Courses

The course duration at IIT Patna 2022 is 4 years for graduation and 2 years for post-graduation. Also, the researchers opt for a 5 years PhD course here.

During the four academic years, the entire curriculum is covered in eight semesters. The candidate's performance or evaluation is done through credits allotted to the students based on several lectures, laboratory hours, and tutorials. In each semester along with the laboratory courses, the students have to take up 5 – 6 theoretical courses as well.

At the PG level, IIT Patna offers two-year M.Tech courses in eight specialised multimedia broadcasts and two-year M.Sc. courses in three specialised courses. IIT Patna also offers three-year PhD courses in all 10 subject departments.

IIT Patna 2023 Admission Process

Admission to IIT Patna is enabled only through your ranking in the JEE Advanced 2023 entrance exam for B.Tech. The admission is allotted to the candidate by ranking in the entrance exam and counselling by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).

Usually, there are six counselling sessions held by JOSAA, which is basically for seat allotment based on JEE rankings and preference of the candidates' courses.
