NMIMS NPAT Exam 2020

NMIMS (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies) every year conducts NPAT (NMIMS Program after Twelfth) exam for admission in UG and Integrated Degree Programs after 12th. It is held to shortlist candidates for admission in courses like  B.Tech, BBA, BBA Branding & Advertisement, B.Com (Hons.), B.Sc. Finance, B.Sc. Economics, B.Des. (Humanising Technology), and B.A. (Hons.) Liberal Arts and other integrated courses like- MBA Tech (B.Tech + MBA Tech.) and B.Pharm + MBA (Pharma. Tech). The NMIMS NPAT 2020 exam, which was supposed to be scheduled on 18th and 22nd May 2020, is now postponed to new dates. The date has been rescheduled due to the Covid-19 outbreak. The NMIMS NPAT exam 2020 is entirely online-based. 

Candidates passing out the test can seek admission in any of the campuses of NMIMS situated at Mumbai, Shipur, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Navi Mumbai, Indore, and Dhule providing a range of Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs.

NMIMS NPAT Application Form

The NMIMS NPAT 2020  exam application form is available only in online mode. There is no offline form available. Below are the steps to follow to fill the application form-


  • Candidates can get the NMIMS NPAT 2020 application form from the official website of NMIMS NPAT.

  • You need to register yourself with all the details asked. 

Filling the Application Form

  • Upon receiving the ID and Password, you can log in and fill other details mentioned.

  • You also need to provide details of educational qualification details, about the senior secondary examination primarily. Followed by permanent address and other contact details.

Upload the documents

Once you have filled all the details, you need to upload passport size coloured photograph and signature

Payment for the Application form

NMIMS NPAT 2020 Exam Date

Candidates, when applying for the NMIMS NPAT 2020 exam, should have complete knowledge of dates. Although there is a change in the examination date due to the Covid-19 outbreak. The postponed date will be declared soon. Below are the dates of essential events of the examination process-

  • Last Date to change in application form - 26th April 2020

  • Last date of application form submission- May 12, 2020

  • Release Date of Admit card- Second week of May

The NMIMS- NPAT 2020 admit card was released in the second week of May through online. To download the admit card, the candidate will need to enter the login ID and password. There will be no offline release of the admit card.  You can download the admit card a week before the exam.

NMIMS NPAT 2020 Cut-off

Presently, there is no cut-off released by the authority undertaking NMIMS NPAT 2020. The cut-off is released online for different programs. The minimum qualifying marks is calculated based on marks candidate gets in the entrance test. The authority uses Normalization Method, where candidate marks collected and processed using the statistical combination.. 

Candidates will need to keep self-updated about exam date so the cut-off released later.

NMIMS NPAT Eligibility Criteria 2020

Before you appear for the NMIMS NPAT 2020, you should know the eligibility criteria set by the authority-

  • Applicants should be 10+2 passed out with English as compulsory subject and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

  • Candidate with a diploma in engineering passed can also apply for NMIMS NPAT 2020. 

  • The age of the candidate should not be more than 25 yrs. and should be an Indian citizen.

  • A single mark sheet of all mentioned subjects (only passing) in the first attempt is mandatory to submit.

However, there are different eligibility criteria for different courses-

B.Tech and MBA -Tech

  • Students should be class XII passed out with Indian Baccalaureate.

  • Students with IB Diploma is eligible if offered Mathematics at a higher level

  • Students will need to score 45% in PCM in class 12 for getting into the Shirpur campus.

For MBA Pharma Tech

  • Students should be 10+2 passed or equivalent exam 

  • Should score 50% marks in PCM/PCB eligible

For B.Sc. Economics

Students must be 10+2 passed out or score 60% marks in the first attempt in any stream, including Indian Baccalaureate.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

1. What if candidates are selected for two different schools for admission?

If any candidate is selected for two different schools, in that case, the candidate will need to confirm the admission from any of the colleges. One of the primary steps to follow is to cancel the admission of the first college and proceed to seek admission to another college.

2. Will there be sectional time limit in NPAT Exam?

Yes, there is a sectional time limit offered in the NMIMS NPAT exam. Students will need to complete the section at a specified time. For the Quantitative and Numerical Ability section, the time limit is 40 minutes. Similarly, the Reasoning and General Intelligence section, the time limit is 35 minutes, and for the English language section, the time limit is 25 minutes.

3. Which section of NPAT exam carries maximum number of question?

There is no such section carrying a maximum number of questions. Each section will carry an equal number of questions. However, questions in the Reasoning and General Intelligence section are quite lengthy. You need to fast enough to solve.
