Yes, there needs to be followed some nationality criteria and can be given as follows:
The candidate applying for the NDA exam must be a citizen of India.
A candidate belonging to Nepal or Bhutan is also eligible.
A Tibetan refugee who settles in India before January 1 1962 with the intention of permanent residency can apply for the NDA exam
A person belonging to Indian origin who migrated over from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with an intention of permanent residency in India can apply for the NDA exam.
All those above-mentioned candidates apart from Indian citizens will need a certificate of eligibility being shown which is issued by the Government of India to attend the exam. A certificate of eligibility does not apply to Gorkha candidates who belong to Nepal.
3. When are the results for the NDA 1 exam declared?
Once the NDA exam has been conducted then the exam answer key is released within two weeks or three and it is after two to three months that the NDA 1 exam results are released. To download the NDA 1 result you can follow the steps provided below:

Visit the ‘What’s new’ section mentioned on the main page
Download the PDF of the result card and print out the same for further references
Make sure you check the result card for your name and Roll number.
Once the results have been declared the candidates can now see their name in the list where you will have to register for the NDA 2 exam. The mark sheet is also released within a day or two after the results are declared for the NDA 1 exam. In this mark sheet the candidate can find the following information:
