MU OET Exam 2020

MET, formerly known as MU, OET Exam is the entrance test of Manipal University. The exam is held to facilitate the admission process of the aspirants into the Undergraduate, Post-Graduate and super-specialty courses of Manipal Academy of Higher Education, formerly Manipal University. The courses include Engineering, applied Science, Pharmacy, etc.

It is a national-level examination and is organized every year in the month of July-Aug in two phases. The exam is conducted in 80 different Indian cities and Dubai in online mode. Those who clear the exam will get admission into various engineering courses of Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal, Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, Sikkim, and Sikkim and Manipal University, Jaipur.

MU OET Application Form

The application form for MU OET Exam 2020 has been opened since Oct 5, 2019, and the final date has been extended to Jun 30, 2020. The candidates have to fill the form before the deadline and make sure that every detail is filled accurately. In addition to this, they must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria even before they register for the examination. Following are the steps to fill the application form for MU OET 2020-

Step1- Registration- The first and foremost step is to get registered for the entrance test.

For this, the aspirant will have to visit the official site of Manipal University and click on the register for MET 2020.

Fill the required personal and contact details like the Name of the candidate, Father’s Name, Gender, aadhar No., category, etc.

After that, the candidate needs to upload the photograph and signature in the preferred format.

Step2- Fill the application form.

After the registration, your registration ID will be generated automatically—login with that ID and password.

Fill the necessary details like the course, payment of the fee, center, etc.

Well, the process for the application form filling had begun from 5th Oct 2019, and the date of registration has now been extended to 30th June 2020 due to the Pandemic situation. MU OET Admit Card

The admit card for the MU OET exam is released online at the official site of the university. The aspirants would not receive it by any other means, which is why they need to download it from the website itself. The admit card will entail the following information-

  • Name of the candidate.

  • Gender 

  • Category

  • Photograph and signature

  • Name and date of the examination

  • Center address

The instructions will be printed on the reverse side of the admit card. The candidates need to adhere to them and strictly follow each guideline sincerely. MU OET Eligibility  Criteria

It is imperative that the candidate go through the eligibility criteria and make sure they meet all the requirements.   • The aspirant should be Indian National.

  • There is no minimum age limit for the test.

  • The candidate should have passed class 12th with Physics, Mathematics, and English as the compulsory subjects.

  • If the candidate has applied for the Post-graduate program, he needs to have a minimum of 50% in the UG.

MU OET Exam pattern

MU OET exam 2020 will be conducted in online mode, and the total 200  questions will be asked from various subjects opted and General aptitude. The candidate will be provided with 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete the exam. The key features of the MU OET exam are-

  • MU OET 2020 will be conducted in the English medium.

  • All questions will be multiple choice types. The candidate will have four choices for each question, out of which the candidate will have to choose one right option by clicking on it.

  • Each question carries four marks, which means for each right answer, the candidate will gain four marks. Whereas for every incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.

  •  The candidates will be given the rough sheets during the examination, which have to be returned after the examination.

MU OET Result

The result for MU OET 2020 will be published online on the official website by the conducting body of Manipal University. The result will be in the form of a scorecard, which will be the reference for the admission process. That is why this result has to be preserved until the final step of admission. MU OET Counseling

The number of rounds of counseling will depend upon the seats to be allotted. The first round will be conducted in offline mode, and the rest of the rounds will be in the online mode, and the center for the offline counseling will be notified once the registration for the counseling and the payment is done. Now the candidates must note that the final seat allotment will depend on the merit rank, availability of the seats, and the preference of the candidate.
