JEE Main 2024: What are the Important Updates of Session 1 & 2?

NTA JEE Mains 2024: The NTA officially declared the JEE Main 2024 Result for Session 1 on 13th February 2024, along with the top scorers' names. In the JEE Main 2024 session 1, 23 students achieved a perfect 100 percentile. The official website links for accessing the JEE Main 2024 results are jeemain.nta.ac.in and ntaresults.nic.in. Candidates can obtain their scorecards through the JEE Main 2024 result login available on the website by providing their application number and date of birth.


The National Testing Agency has issued the admit card for JEE Main 2024 BTech for the first session on 25th January 2024. The Admit Card for B Arch exam was out on 21st January, 2024. Candidates can utilise the provided link for JEE Mains 2024 hall ticket download. Access the JEE Mains 2024 admit card download link on the official website - jeemain.nta.ac.in. The release date for the JEE Main admit card for Session 1, 2024, BTech, is January 24.


The JEE Main City Intimation Slip 2024 was issued on January 12. Candidates need to utilize the NTA JEE Mains 2024 Login on the official website to view their JEE Main City Allotment 2024. This slip contains information about the allotted city for the exam.

As per the JEE Main 2024 exam date for session 1, the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) for Paper 1 (BE/BTech) will be held on January 27, 29, 30, 31, and February 1, 2024. JEE Main 2024 Paper 2A and 2B will take place on January 24 (shift 2).


The NTA has revised the JEE 2024 Syllabus by excluding various topics. The link to download the updated JEE Mains 2024 Syllabus PDF is available on this page. In the reduced syllabus, certain topics covered in classes 11 and 12 have been omitted. Review the modified syllabus for JEE Mains 2024.


The NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2024 Session 2 exam in April, with the exam dates set from April 4 to 15, 2024. The JEE Main Application Form 2024 for Session 2 will be released on February 2, and the last date for registration is March 2, 2024.

  • Exam Dates Updation: The JEE Main exam for 2024 will be held in two sessions, one in January and another in April. The first session of the NTA JEE Main is scheduled on January 24, 27, 29, 30, 31 and February 1, and the second session 2, released in between April 4 to 15. 

  • Registration Updation: To participate in the Joint Entrance Exam, candidates must fill the JEE Main 2024 application form. The registration portal for JEE Main 2024 is activated by the authorities by November 1st. You can go the website: https://jeemain.ntaonline.in/ to register for JEE Main 2024. The last date for registration was November 30, 2023 for Session 1. But NTA has updated the registration date into 4th Dec, 2023. The registration of Session 2 starts on 02 February 2024 and ends on 02 March 2024.

  • Admit Card Updation: The anticipated release date for the JEE Main 2024 admit card is January 21, 2024.

  • Eligibility Updation: Eligibility for the NTA JEE Mains exam is for candidates who have appeared for or qualified for the class 10+2 exam with PCM. 

  • Syllabus Updation: It is advisable to start preparing for the exam using the JEE Main Syllabus 2024 as a guide. The JEE Main Syllabus for 2024 has many changes from previous years. Few chapters has been deleted and added too. The NTA has also published the JEE Main 2024 syllabus online, along with a new information booklet containing all the examination details. 

  • Result Updation: Official declaration of the JEE Main 2024 Result for Session 1 on 13th February 2024, along with the top scorers' names. In the JEE Main 2024 session 1, 23 students achieved a perfect 100 percentile.

The National Testing Agency issued the exam city intimation slip for the JEE Main 2024 session 1 exam on January 18. Previously, the authorities had released the JEE Main city intimation slip for the January 24 B. Arch and B. Plan exam on January 12. Candidates need to utilize their JEE Main login credentials to access and download the JEE Main city intimation slip online at jeemain.nta.ac.in 2024.


JEE Main 2024 Admit Card

The NTA has published the JEE Main admit card 2024 for session 1 B Arch and B Planning on January 21, 2024 in the official website. The online link for downloading the JEE Main 2024 admit card will be made available. To access the NTA JEE Main admit card 2024, candidates must input their JEE login details, including the application number and date of birth. What is JEE Main 2024?

JEE Main is a computer-based online test conducted by the National Testing Agency every year for candidates aspiring to pursue undergraduate courses in the leading engineering institute of India. JEE Main 2024 comprises two papers, i.e., Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 will be conducted for the candidates aspiring to pursue undergraduate engineering programs (B.E/B.Tech.) at NITs, IITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments, whereas Paper 2 will be conducted for admission to B. JEE Main 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main 2024

Details

Age Limit

Candidates who have passed the class 12 or equivalent examination in 2022, 2023, or are appearing in 2024, can participate in the examination, irrespective of their age.

Qualifying Examination

Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination from any recognized Central/State Board. Recognized boards include Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; among others.

National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)

To be eligible, candidates must qualify the senior secondary examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) with the best five subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Students who have studied fewer than five subjects in their qualifying exam are not eligible for JEE Main 2024.

Eligibility for B.E./ B.Tech Programs

For admission to B.E./ B.Tech programs, candidates must have cleared the senior secondary examination with subjects including Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational Subject, and any other subject.

Eligibility for B.Arch / B. Planning Programs

To be eligible for B.Arch / B. Planning programs, candidates must have cleared the senior secondary examination with subjects including Language, Physics, Mathematics (mandatory), Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational Subject, and any other subject.



Candidates who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India or have not cleared the Class 12  (or equivalent) examination from any recognised Central/State Board of India should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination.

75 Percent Criteria for JEE Main 2024
