TSBSE Commerce Important Questions

Q1. A and B are partners in a company, sharing profits and losses in the ratio of 3:2. A and B admit 1/3th and 1/4th of their profit in favour of C, respectively. What will be the new profit sharing ratio of A, B, and C?

Solution: We need to find a new profit sharing ratio of A, B, and C.

A

B

C

Old Profit Ratio

3/5

2/5

-

Admitting Ratio

3/5 x 1/3 = 3/15

2/5 x 1/4 = 1/10

-

New Profit Sharing Ratio

3/5 - 3/15 = 2/5
