One reason for Lok Adalat having its own advantage is that in the Lok Adalat, no court fees are charged or are made to be paid by anyone when any matter or cases are filed. It only works in such a manner that if there is a matter pending in the court and is referred to the Lok Adalat and is to be settled subsequently, the court fees which are being paid originally in the court for the complaints and petitions get refunded back to the parties.
The Lok Adalat makes sure that the decisions which are taken shall be met only on the basis of compromise and settlement between the two parties.
