Oxytocin is a peptide hormone. In the hypothalamus, there is a production of oxytocin hormone and from the posterior pituitary, it is released into the bloodstream.
During labor Oxytocin as a hormone is released into the bloodstream in response to stretching of the cervix and uterus. It also stimulates the nipples from breastfeeding. This hormone thus plays a role in the birth of a child, and the production of milk.

Vasopressin- Vasopressin is also called antidiuretic hormone (ADH) and it is secreted from the posterior pituitary. Its function is to increase the quantity of solute-free water reabsorbed back into the circulation.
Luteinizing hormone- Luteinizing hormone(LH) is a hormone produced by gonadotropic cells in the anterior pituitary gland. LH works upon endocrine cells in the gonads to produce androgens in both males and females.
