Pre RMO Mock Test 1 2023-24

• Be careful while answering the question with a portion in brackets: Read every option carefully to see if what they are asking for is specifically mentioned. 

• You should read the whole paper carefully: One of the main reasons why students get confused when they are attempting mock test papers is that they did not read and understand everything given in the paper properly. If you read and understand what is in the paper properly, it will be easier for you to answer all the questions.

• Read the passage before answering the question. Some of you may find it boring to read a long passage before answering a question, but don’t just quickly read through it and jump straight to the answer. There may be some misleading answers and you won’t know for sure till you read the entire section. 

• In “Write the missing words from the following passage” type of questions: If you find a difficult word that you do not know the meaning of, then firstly try to guess what kind of word it is based on the sentence and then research for it. Also, you should use a dictionary to help with this step to avoid the wrong answers.

• Read and understand the correct and wrong answers: If you find a question that you do not know the answer to, then go ahead and try to find out the answer. Some students often get confused with this step as they just take random guesses. They also forget that there is a right way to figure out whether the answer is correct or not.

• Try to use a dictionary: If a word is not clear enough for you then a dictionary would be a good way of helping you with this step.
  
  

How to make the Most of the Pre Rmo Mock Test Papers?

• After you are done with your basic preparation, you should start to solve 20 MCQs per day. This is enough to get a sense of your preparedness for RMO, but do not go beyond this, that may become overwhelming.

• Second, solve as many mock tests for RMO preparation. This will ensure that you get adequate exposure to the exam pattern and structure. It will also help you manage your time. 

• Third, if you are not able to identify any major mistakes, you should try solving questions without referring to the answer key. This will help you isolate any problem areas you may be having in your preparation.
  
  

Exam Pattern

Understanding the test pattern of any test is pretty much as significant as its marking scheme. Beneath, we mentioned all the required important details regarding the test: 

PRMO 2023 will be conducted over 3-hours and can be found on the secondary school prospectus. The test comprises 30 inquiries of 2 marks questions, 3 marks questions,  and 5 marks questions. The syllabus includes:

• Arithmetic of Integers

• Quadratic expressions

• Trigonometry

• Geometry

• System of linear equation

• Coordinate geometry

• Factorization and polynomials

• Elementary Combinatorics

• Inequalities

• Finite series and complex numbers

• Elementary graph theory

Participants will be given an OMR sheet to mark their answers. After the test, participants can take the student copy of the test with them for reference.
