Hint Fluids are pushed using the gear pump. We have to tell the flow rate of the fluid of the pump. Based on the working of the gear pump we will analyse that there is a constant rate at which fluids are flowing inside the pump.

The fluid is taken inside the pump from the intake valve. Gears rotate and move fluid from one side to discharge side. Vacuum is created initially prior to the usage of a pump. It ensures proper functioning of the pump.
Not all types of fluids are used in gear pumps. Special type of liquid known as viscous fluids are used in it. In other words, shear stress is more compared to shear strain. This kind of liquid easily flows through the container.
As liquid enters the pump with increased pressure but the flow remains constant. This is because there is a specific amount of volume intake and specific amount that goes out. This phenomenon prevents leakage and flow of liquid is continuous and maintained at a specific rate.
