Hint: We know that when ${H_2}S$ is passed from any solution as its nature is very reactive and it’s a poisonous gas too. As per this question, here ${H_2}S$ is passed through $ZnS{O_4}$ nothing is formed as in the form of white precipitate of zinc sulphide and we have to give a reason for it.
Complete Step by Step Solution:
Firstly we write some points which are very useful for doing this question which are as follows,
As per the data we know that zinc sulphide is soluble in acids where is it useful for us in upcoming solutions,
When we react ${H_2}S$ gas with zinc sulphate we get the product as,
$ZnS{O_4} + {H_2}S\xrightarrow{{}}ZnS + {H_2}S{O_4}$
As per above reaction, we get that, doing a reaction of hydrogen sulphide with zinc sulphate, in result we get the product as using sulphide and hydrogen sulphate has also known from the name of sulphuric acid.
We get that, Zinc sulphide is soluble in acid whereas we have sulphuric acid with zinc sulphide.
From the all conclusion we say that the product is fully soluble from which no precipitate is formed.
Hence, from which we say that there is no white precipitate of zinc sulphide is formed from passing ${H_2}S$ through Zinc sulphate.
Note: In chemistry by making relation between many of the elements and substances and nature of the elements we get many types of different answers as from this we get to know the full knowledge about every element to complete any reaction based question.
