B.Tech Admission in Tamil Nadu 2024 will get initiated through various national level & state level exams. Tamil Nadu is a south Indian state. It is also referred to as ‘Land of Tamils’. Entrance Exams

Students can appear in any of the entrance exams to get admission into the B.Tech courses offered in the state. The admissions will be offered through the national level JEE Main entrance exam for B.Tech and JEE Advanced for the admission into IITs.


The state-level admission tests are also held for engineering courses with the name of TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions). Aspirants can also appear for SRMJEEE, AEEE and VITEEE university level exams. For courses like M.Tech, aspirants should appear for the national level GATE entrance exam.


Selection Procedure

TamilNadu Engineering Colleges will conduct counselling after the announcement of the entrance exam result. The seats will be allotted on the basis of rank of the students. TNEA is an admission process in which admissions will be processed on the basis of 12th class percentage.


During the counselling, session candidates have to select the institutions and specialization of their own choice. Students who are qualified in the entrance exam will be called for counselling.


It is necessary to attend counselling to get admission into the colleges. On the basis of entrance test score or ranks, 12th score, filled choice and availability of seats, the seat will be allotted to the candidates.
