JEE Main Marking Scheme

JEE is the acronym used for the Joint Entrance Exam. This exam is used as the basis for admitting undergraduate engineering aspirants into most colleges in India, including the highly sought-after IITs. For Engineering students, the paper is divided into two sections, namely Section A and Section B. Each section has questions on the three subjects covered in the exam - Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Section A has 20 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for each subject, bringing the total number of questions to 60. Students can attempt all questions in this section. Section B has 10 questions for each subject, in which the students have to input the numerical value based on the problem given. In this section, candidates are required to select only 5 questions per subject, bringing the total number of attempted questions to 15. The total number of marks available for the entire exam is 300 marks.
