An Overview of IIT Palakkad

IIT Palakkad was founded in 2015 and is one of India's third-generation IITs. The IIT Palakkad team is currently being mentored by the IIT Madras team. The college is currently operating from a temporary campus at the Ahalia Integrated Campus in Kozhippara, Palakkad, and a permanent campus in Kanjikode. The permanent campus of IIT Palakkad will be built on about 500 acres of land in Pudussery village, in the Palakkad district of Kerala.

The institute offers more than ten courses in various disciplines in the UG, PG and PhD levels. IIT Palakkad - Admission Process

Students are admitted to the B.Tech IIT Palakkad program based on their JEE Advanced ranks. This is followed by a counselling process managed and regulated by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority or JoSAA.

There are seven rounds of JoSAA counselling for seat allotment to the candidates. The students are allotted seats based on the college's cutoff and the students' preference of programs and colleges. The registration and choice filling of JoSAA usually begins from the third week of June. The students have to apply for the IIT Palakkad admission process in the online mode.

To take admission in IIT Palakkad, students can visit the official website and fill the application form by providing all the necessary details. They also have to register for the entrance examination on their respective websites. Students who aspire to pursue B.Tech from IIT Palakkad have to apply for JEE Advanced through the National Testing Agency (NTA) official website.

Scholarships are awarded to the students of IIT Palakkad on a merit cum means basis. The institute also offers fee waivers for SC/ST students as per the government's norms. The various types of scholarships that IIT Palakkad provides include:
