WBJEE Exam Important Dates 2023

This year, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board has declared the WBJEE EXAM DATE 2023 on its official website. The WBJEE FORM 2022 is available from 23rd December 2022. Each student will be eligible to submit one form only. The students can apply to this examination by filling out the WBJEE FORM available on the website until  20th January 2023.

Eligibility Criteria for WBJEE 2023

All the students who wish to avail this course should be from Indian origin and must comply with the following:

  • Have availed at least the age of seventeen as on December 31st, 2023.

  • The candidate has to be born on or before December 31, 2006.

  • There is no upper age limit.

  • For students who wish to pursue a degree in marine engineering courses only, the maximum age can be twenty-five as of December 31st, 2023.

  • For students who wish to pursue a degree in engineering, it is necessary to have Math and Physics as compulsory subjects and either one from Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or Computer Science /Application in their 10+2. It is also essential for the students to have scored at least 45 percent in the general category and 40 percent in the reserved category in aggregate.

  • For students who wish to pursue a degree in Pharmacy, it is mandated to have Physics. Chemistry and English are mandatory subjects, along with one from Computer Science and Application, Mathematics, Biology or Biotechnology in their 10+12. It is also compulsory for all the students to have scored at least 45 percent in the general category and 40 percent in the reserved category in aggregate.


Admission Process for WBJEE 2022

The WEST BENGAL JOINT ENTRANCE EXAM 2023 admission process is as follows: 

  • All students can apply to the WBJEE 2023 by registering on the official website. 

  • The students are required to fill out the WBJEE FORM 2023. Enter your details in the application form, like personal, qualification, and communication details, along with the details of the course applied by you.    

  • Upload your recent photographs, which should be between 3KB up to 100KB in size, along with your signatures, which should be between 3Kb up to 30 KB in size, scanned in JPEG or JPG format.

  • After applying, an application number will be initiated to the student and intimidated through message or email.

  • The students now can also make changes in the details, to their respective applications in case of any error. The student can make corrections in the correction window, which will open from 22nd January 2023 to  24th January  2023.

  • Note that no further corrections can be made once the window closes.

  • The students will be intimated through messages or emails, in case of any discrepancy in the photograph or signature uploaded by them during the time of registration. The students should make the necessary corrections within the time specified.

  • Once all details are correctly fed into the system, a confirmation page shall pop up. The students must take a printout of the confirmation page for reference.

Application Fees

It is to be noted that an application fee of Rs. 500 (for the General category) and Rs. 400 (for ST/SC and OBC of A/OBC of B category), along with the other Bank’s service charges is to be paid by each candidate through Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking services.

Other than the above charges, all the students should pay a registration fee of Rs.500 at the time of counseling. The students who have cleared their JEE (Main) 2023 (i.e. students who did not take West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam 2023) do not have to make any such payments during counseling.


The Pattern of Question Papers in WBJEE-2023 

All questions will be Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ),  with four options against each question. There will be three categories of questions in each subject. The number of questions, as well as maximum marks for each, are given in the following table:

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam 2023 is a competitive state level examination conducted by the Joint Entrance Examination Board of the State of West Bengal, which provides entry to various colleges for a programme like Pharmacy, engineering & technology and architecture.   • No kind of written or printed material, wristwatch, pen or any gadget, including calculator will be allowed in the examination center.
