You might think that MCQ is easy, and since there is no negative marking, you can easily score high marks. But MCQ is quite tricky and requires practice to tackle. Answering smartly is the key to solve MCQ. Let's go through a few tricks that would make this section easier for you.

Knowledgeable Guesswork

You can make some guesswork regarding unsure sections.  Since there are no such negative marks, you can try this formula. But never make a wild guess because that would only kill your time

Read the instruction and questions

This is by far the most crucial suggestion for you. Before answering, I always read the questions and instructions. Candidates sometimes fail to score marks due to non-adherence to rules.  You can also markup the sections you wish to answer first while reading.

Use the Process of Elimination.

Multiple questions come with four probable answer types. So, you would need to employ the process of elimination to answer these questions. This will narrow down the choice and help you in finding the correct answer.

Answering questions with the option all of this/none of these

Examiners sometimes set this question type to trick the students. You need to answer the questions thoroughly or check each option. Mostly the answer to these questions is “all of these”, but it’s better to do the substitution.

Don't read too much into questions.

Most of the MCQ questions don’t have any inside meaning and exactly what it wishes to convey. There is no point in making things complicated and remember that OMR sheets don’t have any set pattern.
