Introduction to the SITEEE Counseling Procedure

The declaration of the results will be followed by the declaration of the merit list. based on the score and rank, the enlisted students will be called for the counselling process, where they will be checked for further fulfilment of the remaining of the eligibility criteria.

The Basics of SITEEE Counselling

Students who have scored the set cut off mark will be called for the SITEEE Counselling. Now, you must be thinking as to what is the “cut off mark”? The highest mark scored in the examination will be set as the cut off mark. It is the minimum mark required for aspirants to secure a seat along with adhering to the eligibility criteria. The cut-off mark changes every year, as the highest mark received varies each year.

  • Names of the candidates put up on the merit list will be called for the counselling session

  • Qualified candidates of MHT CET or JEE Main are allowed to appear for the counselling session

  • Seats will be allotted as per the rank secured, preferences and availability of seats.

  • Registration and selection of choices has to be done online, but, you have to physically report for document verification

Documents required during the SITEEE Counselling Session

Note here, that all the documents you will present should be authentic and original. You can carry photocopies of the same original documents if the need arises.

  • Original and 2 photocopies Photo identity proof like Aadhaar Card, Election ID Card, Driving License, Passport

  • Original and 2 photocopies of Class 10 and 12 mark sheets

  • Original and 2 photocopies of the clearance certificate of class 10 and 12 qualifying examinations

  • Transfer Certificate from the school attended last. It has to be attested by the Principal or relevant authority

  • Certified Migration Certificate from the school last attended

  • Character Certificate attested by the authority of the school last attended

  • Cast certificate if you belong from the SC/ST category

  • Disability Certificate for differently-abled students. It has to be duly certified by the Symbiosis Centre for Health care.

  • SITEEE 2020 scorecard

  • JEE Main 2020/MHT CET 2020score card if you are applying via these channels

  • Recent passport size coloured photographs

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q1. What is SITEEE 2020?

A: SITEEE 2020, previously known as SET, or Symbiosis Entrance Test, is an engineering entrance examination conducted by Symbiosis Institute of Technology. It is a Computer Based Test. 

Q2: Can I Get Admission Without Registering for SITEEE 2020?

A: No. In order to get admission, you have to register for SITEEE 2020 by paying 1750 INR. You can register for SIT based via JEE Main and MHT CET score also, but you have to be physically present in the counselling session of SITEEE 2020.

Q3: Is it Possible to Get Admission to SIT with Good Marks in the Competitive Exam but the PCM Aggregate is Less than 45%?

A: There are certain eligibility criteria that you need to fulfil to secure a seat in SIT.  The PCM aggregate for general candidates is 45% and 40% for SC/ST candidates. If your percentage is less than what has been fixed, you will not be allowed for admission.

 Q4: Can I Get a Refund on the SITEEE 2020 Registration Fee if I Don’t Take Admission?

A: Unfortunately the registration fee is not refundable under any circumstances.
