The Directorate of Technical Education monitors the courses of Rajasthan Polytechnic engineering. The counseling takes place after the final announcement of the merit list. During this process, the documents and certificates of the candidates are being verified by the supervisors. 

Each year DTE deals with thousands of applications and short-list only the cream candidates from the rest. The merit list based on the 10th standard marks is the final result that declares the names of the successful candidates. After declaring the names of the short-listed candidates, DTE conducts a counseling session in order to verify the documents. The following points will explain the counseling actions thoroughly. 

• The counseling procedure follows a hard and fast schedule mentioned by the board. 

• The applicants are free to go after their preferred educational program as per the availability of the seats in order of rank. 

• During the counseling session, the supervisor will verify the submitted documents and certificates in the presence of the applicant. 

• Seats will be allotted to the students after considering the preferred educational program, college, and rank. 

• Irrespective of the category, a non-refundable admission fee of Rs. 4000 has to be paid by the applicant. 

• If the applicant agrees to get admitted in the allotted institution, then he must visit the very institution to complete the admission process. On the other hand, the candidates also require paying the requisite fees within a specified period. 

• Furthermore, if the applicant is not satisfied with the allotted college or institution, he can appeal to the authority for reconsideration and wait for the second counseling session. 

During Rajasthan Polytechnic Counselling, candidates need to carry the documents highlighted below,
