NSEJS 2020 Exam Eligibility Criteria
Q1. Who is Eligible for NSEJS 2020 Exam?
Ans: NSEJS eligibility criteria is simple to gauge. Firstly, the student should be an Indian citizen. Secondly, his/her birthday should fall on or after 1.1.2006 and or before 31.12.2007. If an applicant is appearing for other national standard examinations in 2020 such as NSEA, NSEP, NSEB or NSEC, he/she is not eligible for the NSEJS 2020 examination.
Applicants must remember to check the criteria thoroughly to ensure that they do not flout any norms. Any misinformation on the application form will lead to immediate cancellation of their candidature. There will be no refund of registration fees. Nevertheless, meeting eligibility for NSEJS should be easy for the majority of aspiring candidates.
Q2. Is there any registration fee for the NSEJS Exam?
Ans: Yes, there is a registration fee for the NSEJS Exam. Students from Kendriya Vidyalaya and other schools need to pay Rs.150 per applicant per subject to the school administration. From this amount, the schools will keep Rs.30, while the remaining Rs.120 is paid to IAPT. However, students from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya need to bear a charge of Rs.110 per applicant per subject.
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya does not charge any fee internally. Therefore, the entire amount one pays as NSEJS exam fee goes to the IAPT. Keep in mind that the registration fee is a one-time payment which means that students need not pay any further amount as they clear each round of NSEJS.
Q3. How can I Prepare for NSEJS?
Ans: There are many ways to prepare for NSEJS. Consistent studying is one of the ways. NSEJS is based on the CBSE exam pattern, so studying from NCERT textbooks is a wise move. Students must study each chapter and practice the various mock tests online. Completing the exercise at the end of each chapter in NCERT books can also help.
NSEJS is based on the standard textbooks of class 10, 9, and 8. Students preparing for NSEJS need to have their basic concepts clear on all the foundational levels of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Following these guidelines should help them score well.
