2. When will the NDA 2 exam be conducted in 2021?

The official notification for the NDA 2 exam was released on the 9th of June 2021 and the application form was available on the official website of UPSC from 9th June to 29th of June 2021. Now that the registrations are closed the exams will soon be commenced. Last year that is in 2020 it was observed that both the NDA 1 and 2 exams were conducted together which will not be the case for this year. The exam for NDA 2 was scheduled to be on the 5th of September which was then pushed ahead to the 14th of November 2021. Only those candidates who have submitted the application form for the NDA exam can successfully attend the exam.

3. Is there an age limit when it comes to giving NDA 2 exams?

In order to qualify for the NDA 2 exam, the candidate must have an age between 15.7 years which means that the candidate should not be later than 1st January 2066 to 18.7 years which means that the candidate should not be earlier than 1st of January 2003. This means that all the candidates who are between the age of 16 to 19 years should be eligible for the exam. It is also important to follow the criteria provided below:

  1. Not female and married male candidates will be eligible to apply for the NDA exam

  2. The date of birth that has been mentioned on the application should match the one that has been entered in the matriculation/10th/secondary school leaving certificate.

  3. It is also a must that the candidates submit proof of their age after the results of the NDA 2 exams have been announced.

  4. It is to be noted that all the eligible candidates for training shall not marry before the training starts or during the training. If it is found that the candidate has married before the training has begun then they will not be selected for the training and if the candidates marry while the training sessions are going on then he or she will be suspended and they will have to refund all the expenditure taken over by the government.

4. What does NDA stand for and what is the purpose of the exam?

NDA stands for National Defense Academy or Naval Academy examination and is conducted each year by the Union Public Service Commission also most commonly called the UPSC body. This exam is conducted in order to recruit candidates to the three major forces that are the Army, Navy, and the Air Force of the National Defense Academy. There will be two parts of the exam that will be conducted one being in September and the other being in the month of April. It is mandatory that any candidate who wishes to take part in the exam should complete all the eligibility requirements.
