NSO Science Exam Key Date

The Science Olympiad Foundation will host the National Science Olympiad (NSO) 2023-24 on 18th of October, 3rd of November, and 1st of December of that year (SOF). The first level of performance is used to rate NSO participants. After passing the first test level, students can assess their academic progress on four different levels: within the school, locally, statewide, and, most importantly, globally. NSO Science Exam Level

The exam are divided into two tiers. The first is level 1, and students who pass this level are qualified to take level 2. The NSO Olympiad exam's two levels begin from Class 3. Only level 1 exams will be offered to students of Class 1 and 2, and grades will be assigned based on how well they do.

Level 1

The aspirants are ranked according to their performance on the level 1 exam. Students can place themselves academically at four different levels after taking the first level of the test: within the school, at the local level, at the state level, and finally at the international level.

An objective test with 50 multiple-choice questions for Classes 5 to 12 and 35 multiple-choice questions for Classes 1 to 4 makes up the exam.

Level 2

Students must meet the following eligibility requirements in order to take the NSO examination at the second level.

a. The top 5% of Class-ranking students who show up for the first-level exam will proceed to the next.

b. The top 25 students in each state by Class.

c. A minimum of 10 students from each participating school's Class must take the exam and receive the minimum passing score of 50%.
