How Can You Participate in the National Cyber Olympiad Class 1 to 10 Exam?

The National Cyber Olympiad, hosted by the Science Olympiad Foundation, is available to students in grades 1 through 10. Students must register through their respective schools. The SOF delivers prospectuses and registration forms to the schools that have signed up with the organisation. If a school is not yet registered, they can do so by simply sending an email. 


The NCO for the SOF is held twice a year. Students must pay registration costs to take the exam. A student performance report is sent to each student who competes in the National Cyber Olympiad. Students' responses are thoroughly examined in the performance report. Students can identify their strengths and weaknesses through this process.

National Cyber Olympiad (NCO) Exam Eligibility for Classes 1 to 10

The National Cyber Olympiad eligibility criteria is stated in the issued guidelines by SOF. Students from classes 1- 10, enrolled in a school which is  recognised by SOF, are eligible for applying for NCO 2024-25. Students should apply and submit the form prior 30 days to the exam date as this is the mandatory step.


National Cyber Olympiad (NCO) Registration Steps for Classes 1 to 10

  • Students can register for the NCO (National Cyber Olympiad) exam through their school that they are enrolled in.

  • The authorised instructor of the school will prescribe the student's roll numbers according to the guidelines.

  • Students have to submit a copy of their student registration, roll number and school registration sheets to the office of the foundation as instructed by the school.

  • Students have to pay a nominal registration fee for NCO exam, details are explained below:

Grade 1: Geometrical Shapes, Completion of Figure Pattern, Spatial Understanding, Measuring Units, Patterns, Odd One Out, Grouping of Figures


Grade 2: General Information about Computers, Uses of Computer, Computer-a Smart Machine, Parts of Computer, Learning to use Keyboard and Mouse, recent developments in the IT field

Grade 3: Geometrical shapes, embedded figures,  Input and Output Devices, Coding – decoding, Fundamentals of Computers, Storage Devices, Introduction to MS-Word, Introduction to Internet, Editing commands such as- cut, copy, paste, redo, undo, mirror images, alphabet and ranking test, recent developments in the IT field

At School Level

  • For groups of 5 to 9 students taking the test in a class, the highest rank holder receives a gold medal.

  • For groups of 10 to 25 students taking the test in a class, a gold medal is presented to the top three students. 

  • For classes with more than 25 students taking the test, a gold medal will be awarded to the top 10% of the class's rank holders.

NCO Results 2024-25

SOF will release the NCO results on their official website in January 2025 tentatively. NCO examination level II will be conducted February 2025 tentatively. Below are the steps to check NCO results:
