INMO 2023-24 Exam Result

Ans: Candidates who pass the IOQM round are then entitled to take the INMO test. The official INMO examination time is 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Before entering the INMO examination hall, students should take care of the following instructions.

• Students should arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the exam.

• Those who arrive after 12.30 p.m. will be denied the opportunity to take the exam.

• Students would not be allowed to leave the exam room until the four-hour time period had passed.

• Students are reminded to carry all of their documents, including their Aadhar card/passport and admit card, with them at all times.

• Participants are allowed to bring a geometry case, but they are only allowed to use a ruler and compass.

• The ink should be blue or black. Students are advised to use a pencil to draw geometry diagrams and properly mark them.

• Cell phones and calculators will not be allowed.

• Students must send in their answer papers, however, the question paper may be kept.

Ans: The IOQM results were announced, and the organizing committee published a consolidated list of deserving students. The INMO 2023 exam is only accessible to those who have passed the previous level. Students can use their INMO admit card by logging in.

• Visit the HBCSE-TIFR official website.

• Select Olympiads 2023-24 on the home page and then choose Mathematical Olympiad 2023-24.

• The student will be taken to a different tab. Look for the INMO Admit Card Connection and click on it.

• Enter your login details, such as your roll number and date of birth, to download your admit card.

• To view the person’s INMO admit card, click "Login."

• Make a copy of your admit card before the exam date.

Ans: Students qualifying INMO or the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad which is one among the many stages of the international mathematical olympiad program will automatically be eligible for admission to the B.Sc. (Hons) Mathematics course in the Chennai Mathematical Institute and also for  B. Stat or B. Math courses of the Indian Statistical Institute. Here the students would not have to attempt the written test which is otherwise mandatory and they will be directly called for the interview.

Ans: Although INMO or the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad generally follows the concepts that come under the syllabus of class 11 and 12 mathematics, the difficulty level of the questions is comparatively higher than the ones students expect for their school or board exams. This calls for extra preparation and a proper idea of what books to refer to and what all topics to give focus on. While topics like Calculus and Statistics are not included, others like Algebra, Geometry, Number theory and Combinatorics, Graph Theory are given much importance for the exam. 

NCERT books can be considered as one of the primary sources of reference and students are mostly advised to consult the books recommended for the IIT JEE preparations. Ans: The international mathematics olympiad has around six stages and INMO or the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad is the third stage in it. The exam is eligible only for those who have cleared all the previous levels like PRMO and RMO and only 35 students from across the country are selected from INMO to participate in the next level. The questions included in the exam are usually based on the maths syllabus of classes 11 and 12.

Unlike the usual Olympiad exams, INMO only has 6 questions which the students need to answer although they might be extremely difficult mathematical problems.
