Q1. How Many Students are Selected for INMO?
Ans: Indian National Mathematics Olympiad popularly known as the INMO is conducted every academic year as a third stage of the International Mathematics Olympiad. The selection committee makes sure that approximately thirty students are streamlined from every region to write the INMO exam. The students who showcase the best performance in the RMO exam qualify for the second stage of the INMO exam. Around 900 students are selected for the second stage.
Q2. Is the INMO Exam Difficult?
Ans: The Indian National Mathematics Olympiad is an examination conducted by the Homi Jehangir Bhabha Center for Science Education. The examination is conducted as a third level of the International Mathematics Olympiad. The questions in this exam are of a higher level. The questions are mostly based on application and higher-order thinking skills. Though there is a negative marking scheme in the exam, the students can master to score the best marks in the INMO exam through continuous practice and dedication. Students are expected to have a deeper understanding of the concepts and take up a series of mock tests before appearing for the actual exam.

Ans: Experts have been emphasizing a lot on the few tricks and tips that enable the students to be well prepared to take up the INMO exam. A few important tricks and tips for the students include:

Use google as a tool to explore the sample papers and tricks to retain important concepts for a longer time.

The INMO results can be checked on the official website of the HBCSE.
