The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is responsible for releasing the merit list of AMU MBBS/BDS 2020 in the third week of June. the list will only include the names of the candidates who have successfully submitted their application form and have gotten their documents verified. The AMU MBBS merit list 2020 is prepared purely on the basis of the scores obtained in the NEET Exam. The AMU MBBS 2020 merit list will be declared by the MCC in the form of seat allotment list in online mode. The seat allotment list of AMU MBBS 2020 will have various details like NEET 2020 rank, quota allotted, institute and category allotted. Candidates whose names are included in AMU MBBS/BDS 2020 merit list will be instructed to report at the designated colleges.
On the basis of the AMU MBBS/BDS 2020 merit list, the eligible candidates can gain admission to the 150 MBBS and 40 BDS seats offered in Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU and Dr Ziauddin Ahmed Dental College, AMU. the merit list will offer admission to 50% institutional reservation and 50% open candidates.

In order to be able to participate for AMU MBBS 2020 admission, it is mandatory for the candidates to secure the minimum qualifying percentile of NEET 2020 as defined by NTA. Due to the huge number of applications and candidates, there is bound to be a tie with two more students score. In such a scenario, the respective authorities will consider the following conditions for the tie-breaking process:
Aspirants with higher marks/percentile score in Biology including Botany and Zoology will be awarded the higher rank.
If the tie still persists, then the candidates whose rank will be higher in Chemistry will be considered for better rank.
If the tie continues, then, students with the least number of incorrect attempts will be placed in the merit list.
In the end, candidates older in age will be given preference in the merit list.
Candidates who are enlisted in the AMU MBBS 2020, will be asked to either accept or withdraw the seat allotment. If the candidate accepts the seat then they will have to download the AMU MBBS seat allotment letter 2020 in online mode by using their login credentials. Along with the allotment letter, students are expected to carry a set of relevant documents for verification at the respective college to complete the admission process.
