1. Is making a routine important during AIIMS Preparation?
Having a routine is important for any examination. Aspirants need to first make a routine that is practical and effective. And just making the routine is not enough, the candidate must stick to it. Without routine, it is impossible to complete the syllabus, solve sample papers, solve previous year papers, and more. Having a proper schedule of preparation is very important. Making a routine will help candidates to be on track always.
2. How important is study material for AIIMS?
Candidates must study and practice from good sources of material. They can study from highly recommended books and watch online study tutorials. Candidates should also go through the sample or previous year’s question papers of the exam. Not having proper or insufficient study material will lead to a lot of time wastage, which could have been utilized in covering the syllabus. Do not hurry while choosing the study material for your preparation. Take your time and see what’s suitable for you. It may be reference books, video lectures, coaching, self-study, etc. Choose whichever option best fits you and make sure to stick to it to the conclusion.
3. What is the pattern of the AIIMS exam?
The AIIMS MBBS paper is divided into five sections - Physics, Chemistry, Biology, General Knowledge, Aptitude & logical thinking.
Physics, Chemistry, and Biology have 60 questions each and each question has 1 mark.
General Knowledge and Aptitude & Logical thinking have 10 questions each and each question carries 1 mark.
The total mark is 200. The duration of the exam is 3.5 hours. It is a computer-based test.
