Hint: As we know, Wurtz-Fittg reaction is a very popular name reaction and very important reaction as the basis of study. This reaction is also a part of the reaction to form toluene from Alkyl Halides. As from this we have to find that in this reaction whose condensation is taking place.
Complete Step by Step Solution:
We know that, Wurtz-fittig reaction is the combination of Wurtz reaction and fittig reaction as from this we also know that, Wurtz-fittig reaction takes place between Alkyl halide and aryl halide and any metal for ex. Na ,
So, as by writing the whole reaction we get that,
${C_6}{H_5}Cl + 2Na + ClC{H_3}\xrightarrow{{}}{C_6}{H_5}C{H_3} + 2NaCl$
As in the above reaction we get that toluene is formed from the whole reaction and the condensation involves both one-one molecules of aryl halide and alkyl halide.
Therefore, we get the answer as One molecule of each aryl halide and alkyl halide.
Hence, the correct answer is (B).
Note: When we talk about any name reaction, they are very important reactions as on the basis of higher examinations and competition exams. Because name reactions have a specific product to make every time and from which it is separated based on the name of the scientist who made that reaction. As from which that reactions are more important as compared to the normal reaction.
