(ii) Convection: Convection is a method of heat transmission in which the heat moves throughout the fluid itself. As a result of the density difference, heat is transferred. Convection is a much more efficient technique of transmitting heat. An illustration of this is the transfer of heat from air to water.

Putting an egg on the stove to boil is not a good illustration of convection. This is a case of conduction. Because in the case of egg heat is conducted from water to the egg.
