Hint: The examples of the above given processes can be observed in our daily life. Condensation, evaporation, transfer of heat and sublimation are important parts of the water cycle. The reason we experience a change of weather is directly due to these processes.
Complete step by step answer:
(a) Condensation: Examples of condensation are: water drops forming on the outside of a glass containing cold drinks on a summer day, water droplets on the inside of a lid used to cover a warm pan, dew forming on grass in the morning, cloud formation is a result of condensation of the water evaporated in the atmosphere.
(b) Evaporation: Examples of evaporation are: boiling water in a saucepan, wet clothes drying in the sun, the water cycle is initiated due to evaporation of water from the water bodies, drying of mud puddles after a rainy day when the sun comes out, crystallization to obtain crystals, extraction of salt from sea water.
(c) Transfer of heat: Examples of transfer of heat are: microwave cooking, warming of the Earth by the Sun, cooking on a frying pan- the heat is transferred from the pan to the food, there is transfer of heat from the radiator to coolant which cools it down in a car, melting of ice when we take it on our palms.
(d) Sublimation: Examples of sublimation are: Naphthalene changes from solid to gaseous phase, dry ice (frozen carbon dioxide), frozen food sublime thus forming ice crystals inside of the bag, iodine when heated.
Note:
These processes are crucial and a student must have proper knowledge of them. The definitions and basic knowledge of all these processes should be studied. These processes can occur one after the other too, forming part of many cycles. For example, in the water cycle , both condensation and evaporation occur.
