The admission process in IIT Delhi follows a systematic approach And maintains different timelines for different courses. Eligibility criteria are that the candidate must complete class 12 with your combination of physics, chemistry, and maths along with the optional subjects with an aggregate of 65% marks. After that, he or she needs to clear the entrance test, which is JEE advanced.

The joint seat allocation Authority will then conduct the selection process and provide a cut-off for opening and closing ranks for the Indian Institute of technology because the JoSAA board regulates it. But for integrated courses and real degree programs, The joint seat allocation Authority board will select the candidates purely based on the entrance exam.

Steps to Fill Application Form:

  • First, visit the official website of IIT Delhi.

  • Then click on the required course or course to which you are going to apply.

  • Then click on the apply online tab. It is to get an application and to submit it online.

  • It asks for signing up as your new user. Then it provides credentials.

  • Again login to the website with the credentials and then fill the application form provided to you.

  • Mention all the personal details, educational qualifications, etc. by paying more attention. Then click on the Save button.

  • The candidate then needs to enter payment details that have been made either through online transfer or through an offline challenge.

  • Finally, check twice our price and then only click on the submit button it provides you with a reference number or acknowledgement number.

  • The recent photograph (file size 10Kb – 200Kb) should be either in color or black & white with 80% face visible, including ears against a white background.

  • The candidate’s signature (file size: 4kb - 30kb).

  • The PwD certificate (file size: 50kb to 300kb) in jpg/jpeg format.

  • category certificate or caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS etc.) (file size: 50kb to 300KB).

  • Duly verified result awaited attestation form (file size: 50kb to 500kb).


IIT Delhi cutoff is a crucial point. Candidates who made the cutoff criteria can only be allowed to enter into the admission process. These cut off criteria will be designed and regulated by the joint seat allocation Authority. The IIT Delhi cut off may vary from course to course. It can be defined under various factors like rankings, cast, previous year cutoffs, etc. If we consider the statistical data of various ranks and categories, we can define two different kinds of cutoff trends. B.Tech Cut Off Trend:

The joint to see television Authority both have released the closing rank of the previous year and based on that the closing rank of the current year has been declared. After mentioning the cut off criteria, the data of previous years and present year in round 6 will be plotted on a graph. Also, IIT Delhi compares the closing rank of the 6th round to the closing rank of the 7th round. All together, we will obtain a declining trend for B tech cutoff criteria. IIT Delhi scholarship packages are unique and different. They provide various kinds of scholarships to various levels of students. Still, each scholarship has specific criteria and conditions. they follow these conditions very strictly, and they don't allow any misuse of these scholarships.


Type of the Scholarship


Nirmala Devi Raghunath Das Sarin Scholarship

  • The student with the lowest means will be awarded this scholarship. The student eligible for this scholarship shall not be a recipient of any other scholarship.

  • One scholarship is awarded to 2nd-year B.Tech students of Textile Technology based on MCM having a CGPA of 6.0 or more.

Bina Dewan Singh Scholarship

One scholarship is awarded every year to a 1st-year student of the undergraduate programs based on MCM having a family income less than or equal to Rs. 6.0 LPA. 

Gobind H. Keswani Scholarship

One MCM scholarship will be provided every year to a first-year student of the UG program admitted through IIT JEE having a family income not exceeding Rs. 5 LPA. Renewal subject to maintaining a GPA of 7.0 

CS&E 1998 Batch Scholarship

This is for computer engineering students. One scholarship is awarded to a 2nd-year student from a Computer Science & Engineering course based on MCM. The student shall not be a recipient of any other scholarship. 

Indian Women's Association Bonn Scholarship

One scholarship is awarded to an Ist year UG student based on MCM (Parental income up to Rs.5.0 LPA). Under specific conditions namely -

  • Renewal subject to maintain CGPA of 7.00and earning at least 45 credits each year.

  • Suppose the chosen student is already in receipt of any other scholarship/ financial assistance. In that case, he/she will be offered the option to choose this scholarship or the other one because only one scholarship is available for one student.

These conditions are meant for avoiding negligence, dedicated to studies, and the view of providing available scholarships to the maximum number of students.
