1. What are the important documents to carry for the KVPY exam?
Following are documents you should carry while giving the KVPY exam :
Letter of invitation to interview and application form
10th Marks Card for Stream SA/SX and 12th Marksheet for Stream SB) attested copy of Marks Card
Caste Certificate for SC/ST aspirants
In the case of visually and physically challenged kids, the candidates must carry a medical certificate from the relevant authorities in the approved format.
A self-appraisal form and a study certificate form (to be obtained from the Principal/Head of the Institution where you are presently enrolled).
Teacher Recommendation Form (in a Sealed envelope) & Letter to the teacher.
2. What is the KVPY Selection process?
The selection process is usually done in two rounds. Aptitude test and Personal Interview. Both stages need to be cracked to pass the KVPY exam. Aptitude is given 75 % weightage and interview is given 25% weightage. Candidates who perform well in aptitude tests are short-listed for interviews. So, it is important to prepare aptitude properly. The interview rounds are designed to test your scientific understanding. It will determine whether or not you are capable of pursuing research.
3. What are preparation tips for KVPY?
Following are a few tips to keep in mind while preparing for the KVPY exam :
Make sure you work on your weak areas, areas in which you are facing difficulty.
When exam dates are close, do not pick new topics. Instead, revise what you have already completed. Picking new topics will lower your confidence level.

5. What is the syllabus of the KVPY Sample Paper with Answer Keys for Class 12 SX & SB Stream?
KVPY syllabus is specially designed by the Indian Institute of Science(IISC) for the SA stream, SB stream, and SX stream. KVPY SA contains topics from classes 11 and 12 which include four subjects - Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and biology.
In KVPY SA, there are 80 questions divided into two parts. In part 1, 60 questions are there each weighing 1 mark and a negative marking of 0.25. In part 2, there are 20 questions of 2 marks each and a negative marking of 0.5 marks.
In KVPY SX, the topics from classes 10 to 12 are included.
And In KVPY SB, the topics from classes 10 to 12 and 1st year of their UG are included in the syllabus.
