NCERT Books for Class 9

Class 9 is the stepping stone to the Class 10 board exams and beyond and doing well in one's academics at this point sets up the foundation for the future. 1. Mathematics - Class 9 Mathematics comprises a total number of  15 chapters that are are Number Systems, Polynomials, Coordinate Geometry, Linear Equations in Two VariablesCoordinate Geometry, Introduction to Euclid’s Geometry, Lines and Angles, Triangles, Quadrilaterals, Number Systems,  Areas of Parallelograms and Triangles, Circles, Constructions, Heron’s Formula, Surface Areas and Volumes, Statistics, Probability. Now all these chapters are very important as these will be further found in classes 10, 11 and 12 as well. If you get involved in the subject, the concepts can be easily understood. Once you are thorough with the concepts then the subject will be very simple.

The method to ace the subject is only through practice. Understand the concepts of each chapter and practice as many problems as you can. Make a daily routine and practice at least a few problems every day. You can see the results yourself in a few days. You will  eventually develop an affinity towards the subject and also be an expert in Maths. This is the method and strategy that one should adopt and practice vigorously for positive results.

2. Science - Class 9 has all three sections i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Biology in a single edition. There are a total of 15 chapters. All the chapters are based on the fundamentals of science. These topics need to be understood with the proper concepts.

Students has to practice the formulas and problems with proper understanding. Revision is a continuous process and should not be limited only during the exam. Students should learn the formulas and also the derivations to be understood in proper steps. Students should not get into a habit of memoizing. Even if there is a need for memorizing then it should be done once the topic is understood.  Writing should be practiced to develop speed and accuracy.

3. Social Science - Class 9 Social Science is about Geography, Economics and Political science. These have more of the events and the dates. It is not easy to remember all the dates accurately. All the chapters are quite vast so to remember the dates and the events students should make the notes of all the dates in a place according to the chapter and revise everyday. The revision will not take much time but going through them every day will help to remember very easily. So what you can do while reading the chapter is make short notes of the important events and the dates and revise them every day.

4. Hindi and English - The languages can be prepared well if you have a better understanding of the grammar in both languages. You can present your answers well only if your answers are grammatically correct. It is important to read the chapters and learn the concept behind each chapter or poem and also focus regularly on grammar and practice more and more grammar exercises to get well versed with the rules and regulations and the usage of each topic.
