Chapter 3: Atoms and Molecules

In this chapter, students will learn about the laws of chemical combination, laws of conservation of mass, the law of constant proportion, the concept of the atom, atomic mass, the concept of the molecule, ion, and the techniques of learning the chemical formula, the formula of simple compounds, molecular mass, and the mole concept.

Chapter 4: Structure Of the Atom 

In this chapter, students will learn about charged particles in a matter, different theories and hypotheses postulated on the structure of an atom, constituent of atoms neutrons, protons, and electrons, the concept of valency, atomic number, mass number, isotopes, and isobars.

Chapter 5: The Fundamental Unit Of Life

In this chapter, students will learn about what living organisms are made up of, plasma membrane or cell membrane, structural organization of a cell, cell wall, nucleus, cytoplasm. 

Students will study cell organelles, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, lysosomes, mitochondria, plastid, vacuoles, and cell division. 

Chapter 6: Tissues

In this chapter, students will learn about the difference between plant tissues and animal tissues, permanent tissues, simple permanent tissues, different forms of animal tissues like epithelial tissue, connective tissues, muscular tissue, and nervous tissue. 

Chapter 7: Diversity in Living Organisms

Here, the students will learn about the basis of classification, classification and evolutions, the hierarchy of classification groups, Plantae, and Animalia.

Chapter 8: Motion

In this chapter, students will understand how motion is described, motion in a straight line, uniform, and non-uniform motion, velocity, graphical representation of motion, and uniform circular motion.

Chapter 9: Force And Laws Of Motion

In this chapter, balanced and unbalanced forces, Newton’s laws of motion, Inertia and mass, conservation of momentum.

Chapter 10: Gravitation

In this chapter, students will learn about the universal law of gravitation, the significance of the universal law of gravitation, the concept of mass, and weight, thrust and pressure, pressure in fluids, buoyancy, Archimedes principle, relative density.

Chapter 11: Work and Energy

In this chapter, students will learn about the scientific conception of work, work done by a constant force, energy, different forms of energy, and the law of conservation of energy. 

Chapter 12: Sound

In this chapter, students will learn how sound is produced, propagation of sound, characteristics of the sound wave, speed of sound in a different medium, a reflection of sound, range of hearing, ultrasound, the structure of the human ear. 

Chapter 13: Why do We Fall ill

In this chapter, students will learn about health and its failure, distinctions between health and disease-free, different forms of the disease and its cause, infectious diseases, how they spread, principles of treatment, principles of prevention.

Chapter 14: Natural Resources

Here, students will learn about the role of the atmosphere, the movement of air, rain, air pollution, water pollution, minerals found in soil, different biogeochemical cycles, and the ozone layer. 

Chapter 15: Improvement in Food Resources

Here students will become aware of the concepts and techniques of improving crop yields, nutrient management, and the administration of manure, fertilizers, irrigation, cropping patterns, crop protection management, storage of grains, animal husbandry, cattle farming, poultry farming, fish production, and Beekeeping.
