NEET 2024 Qualification Code (Code 1 - Code 7)

Candidates will complete the qualified exam code according to the NEET eligibility criteria, based on the NEET code 2024. The National Eligibility Test (NEET) is a national level test administered by the NTA.

This examination is organized for admission to the programs of MBBS and BDS provided in India by different medical and dental faculties. Detailed information on the NEET qualifying examination code is given here.

Code 1

Aspirants who will appear for Class 12 or await the result may pick this code. Nevertheless, after the result has been published, students must supply the necessary documentation as proof of passing the exam.


Code 2

Candidates who have completed 12 years of Higher / Secondary Examination or Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE), equivalent to Class 10 + 2, may choose code 2. The last two years of study must however include English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology, Mathematics or any other elective subject as a major subject as approved by the National Council for Research and Training in Education (NCERT).

Aspirants who have passed 10 + 2 from the National Open Schooling Institute (NIOS) or State Open School as a private candidate from state boards; as an additional subject, Biology / Biotechnology may apply under NEET qualification code 2.

Who can also apply code 2: It should also be noted that the NEET 2024 qualifying exam code will also be the same for droppers? For example, in the year 2018, if a candidate passed the qualifying examination from CBSE/ISC or any state board, but wishes to appear for NEET 2024, he/she can apply for the Code 2 exam.


Code 3

Students can select this code if they have graduated as a compulsory subject from their intermediate/pre-examination degree in Science stream from any recognized Indian University / Board or other body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology, and English. In addition, the qualifying examination should include practical tests in the mentioned subjects.


Code 4

Upon completing a pre-professional/pre-medical test with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English, this code may be selected upon either passing the Higher Secondary or Pre-university or similar examination. For all subjects, the certification of the pre-professional or pre-medical examination will include the practical tests.


Code 5

Anyone who has graduated from a recognized university with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology, and practical tests for the first year of a bachelor's degree. Candidates should also check that the first year of the qualifying examination is a university level examination and that they have also passed the Class 12 qualification examination with the said subjects at a level not less than a core test.


Code 6

Whichever aspirant has passed B.Sc. Examination with no less than two subjects covering Biology / Biotechnology, Physics, and Chemistry may choose NEET code 6 as their code of eligibility. Such candidates must also have passed Class 10 + 2 qualification exams in English, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology / Biotechnology. 


Code 7

Any other examination which in-depth and quality (Last 02 years of 10 + 2 Research consisting of Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Bio-Technology; which shall include practical testing in these subjects) is deemed to be equal to an Indian University / Board Intermediate Science Examination, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Biotechnology including practical tests in each of these subjects.
