The entire exam is conducted in online mode only i.e. questions are to be answered using a computer, keyboard and mouse. All 200 questions are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) having only one correct answer. Exams are conducted across 290 centres in the country.

JIPMER 2018 will be conducted in CBT mode i.e. online mode across 290 centres present in the country. Exams are conducted within a strict duration of 150 minutes i.e. 2 hours 30 minutes. 200 questions are to be answered in this period. Since exams will be conducted in CBT mode, the test will get over on its own once the time is up.
