Aim Behind Changing Syllabus:

The main aim of the U.P board behind changing the syllabus pattern is that their students can compete with CBSE Board students in every aspect. But by the side there is no loss of changing syllabus to any students, as the students who are preparing for many competitive exams will not be able to refer previous year question papers. But definitely these changes will help students to fight in tougher competitive exams as most of the important exams like NEET, JEE, etc follows CBSE pattern only. So, before starting preparation each and every should have an overview of the syllabus as this will definitely help them in every possible way. 

But for subjects like Vyavsayik(Business Studies) and Krishi(Agriculture), following NCERT books is not compulsory. 

Pattern of Syllabus:

U.P Board Class 12th Exam Pattern:

For each main subject, the U.P board conducts two papers, they follow this pattern, but this pattern was building too much pressure on students. Now in the new syllabus, UPMSP follows the exam pattern of CBSE and they have also introduced NCERT books for the same. Now as per the new guideline of board exam UPMSP will conduct only a single paper for all main subjects. 

UP Board 12th Exam Weightage:

Written Exam- 70 Marks

Internals and Project Work- 30 Marks
