IOM (2024-25) : Eligibility Criteria

International Olympiad of Mathematics, IOM, is a platform where students are given a chance to assess their Mathematical skills. This exam is conducted every year under the guidance of the Silverzone Foundation. Students from all across the country, studying in Classes 1-12 can apply for this exam, and those who are able to showcase exceptional analytical and reasoning skills are recognized through this exam. Whereas, this Olympiad also holds the idea of improving the practical and theoretical Mathematics skills of candidates.

The applicants who are interested in IOM 2024-25 must go through all eligibility criteria and then apply for the Silver Zone IOM-2024-25 exam. The Silver Zone IOM 2024-25 has 3 levels, go through all of them so that you’re aware of all of the prerequisites for IOM.

Level 1

  • Qualification: All the applicants who are studying in Class 1 to Class 12 are eligible to apply for the Silver Zone IOM 2024-25.

  • Nationality: All Indian applicants are eligible to apply for the Silver Zone IOM 2024-25.

  • International Applicants: International applicants are also eligible to apply for the Silver Zone IOM 2024-25.

  • Board: Applicants studying in all the recognized educational boards such as the CBSE, ICSE, and the state boards are eligible to apply for the Silver Zone IOM 2024-25 through their schools.

Level 2

  • The candidates who will obtain 50% of the score, from each grade and be in the category of the top 1000 Olympiad rank holders will be eligible to apply for the 2nd Level of Silver Zone IOM 2024-25.

  • All the candidates who achieved the first rank with a minimum of 75% of scores are also eligible on the condition that there should be a group of 100 students.

Level 3

  • Qualification: The candidates who study in Classes 6 to 12 will be eligible for this level.

  • Rank: The candidates who were able to achieve the 1st rank in the Olympiad 2nd level will be eligible to apply for the third level.

IOM 2024-25 Application Process

  • Schools from across the country come together to participate in this examination. The students participating must keep in mind that the venue for the examination is their own respective schools.

  • The registration form for the IOM examination can be accessed from the official website or the Silverzone school centres. This form is to be filled and submitted to the centre within the given time limit. 

  • The registration consists of three forms in total. For the student, parents, and the teachers respectively. 

  • The IOM examination does not accept individual participation. Therefore every school has to send a minimum of 20 students to register for the exam. 

  • Every school will be given the registration sheet and the information booklet. 

  • After the registration sheet is handed, it is the responsibility of the coordinating teachers from every school to generate the roll numbers for all the participating students. This is to be done following the guidelines and instructions provided by the silverzone foundation. 

  • A copy of these roll numbers with the candidate’s registration and schools registration sheet should be sent to the foundation office well within 30 days before the commencement of the IOM examination.

Structure of IOM

The IOM examination is conducted at 3 levels by the silverzone foundation. Students are eligible to appear for all the levels if they are able to clear the previous levels. It is to be noted that all the exams will be in English. 

  • For the level 1 examination, all the students from Classes 1 to 12 are given equal opportunity to register for the examination. 

  • In level 2 of the IOM examination, only the top 1000 rank holders in the first level of the exam are given the opportunity to participate. Along with this, the top rank holders from every class of the schools participating with a minimum percentage of 75 are eligible to apply for the exam. 

  • Level 3 of the Olympiad takes place in New Delhi, India. Only the rank holders from the level 2 examination are eligible to appear for the level 3 examination.
