NSEC Mock Test Testwise Test 1 Session Provided by Vedantu

NSEC is a voluntary exam sponsored by the Indian Association of Physics Teachers and the Homi Bhabha Science Education Center. Students interested in chemistry can take the NSEC (National Standard  Chemistry Examination). As this is an interesting subject, students are expected to solve even the most difficult questions on the exam assignment form. Participating in NSEC will certainly increase your knowledge of the subject and deepen your understanding of the subject as a whole.

This examination is the first stage for students who want to represent India in ISO ( International Science Olympiad ). Students who clear this examination and get a score that is under 1% of the top scores get the invitation and eligibility to participate in the INCO ( Indian National Chemistry Olympiad ). Out of thousands of students who participate in this examination only 30 are selected who can take part in OCSC (Orientation Cum Selection Camp ). The examination will have multiple choice questions and students should expect negative marking in the examination as well. All the chapters and included topics of class 11th and 12th’s chemistry will be included in the syllabus of NSEC.

2. What are the Features and Benefits of the Vedantu Online Free Mock Test Series?

The following are some of the key features and benefits of the Vedantu online free mock test series:

  • Vedantu online mock test series was created by carefully studying the pattern of previous years' NSEC sample papers. The INMO Mock Tests contain the best questions, all of which are following the most recent syllabus and guidelines.

  • The main goal of these practice tests is to improve your speed and accuracy. As a result of the practice, you will be able to perform well in the exam.

  • You can take the test using a mobile app as well. After the test, you will be able to find detailed solutions.

3. What are the Stages in the Chemistry Olympiad?

The Chemistry Olympiad consists of the following stages.

  • Stage 1) NSEC - National Standard Examination in Chemistry,

  • Stage 2) INChO - Indian National Chemistry Olympiad,

  • Stage 3) OSC - Orientation cum Selection Camp in the subject of chemistry,

  • Stage 4) PDT - Pre-departure Training Camp for IChO, and

  • Stage 5) IChO - Participation in International Chemistry Olympiad.

Only the first stage is excluded from the organisation of HBCSE because it is looked after by IAPT. The rest of the stages are planned and organised by HBCSE.

4. What are the Reference Books For the NSEC 2023 Exam Syllabus?

There is no requirement for a significant deviation from preparation for entrance exams such as JEE or AIPMT for the IAPT NSEC syllabus. However, for INChO, one must devote at least 1 to 2 hours per day. However, it is always worthwhile to devote time to NSEC preparation because it significantly strengthens one's chemistry concepts. It would be fantastic to practise with previous year papers. At least one of the books mentioned should be purchased: D Lee for inorganic and any of the organic books for INChO. Many of these books' older editions are also available online and can be approached.

5. How to be ready for NSEC successfully?

There will be no time limit on this test, so students can start with inorganic chemistry and move on to organic chemistry as needed. Learn about the catalyst names, temperature, and pressure, as well as all other laboratory variables that apply to organic chemistry procedures. You should go over the entire NCERT curriculum because the topics in inorganic chemistry are highly volatile.
