1. What is the ozone layer depletion?

According to chapter 14 science class 9, it is defined as the reduction of ozone in the stratosphere. This leads to harmful UV radiations entering the earth’s atmosphere.

The greenhouse effect is referred to as the trapping of solar radiation in the earth’s atmosphere. It is a natural phenomenon. Some of the greenhouse gases include ozone, methane, nitrous oxide, water vapour, chlorofluorocarbon, etc.

  • Restoring water resources. Water evaporates through plants by transpiration and water bodies by evaporation, and condenses to form clouds. These clouds further discharge the water in the form of rainfall.
