The story Banyan Tree is written by Ruskin Bond. In this story, the author saw a young boy while he was sitting on an old banyan tree in his grandfather's house. The story described the child eyewitness when he first observed the fight between a mongoose and a snake. The story shows the way a child made his world in the lap of nature in his grandparent  hometown. The keen observation of the young boy is beautifully described in the story.
