Karnataka Board Class 12 Accountancy examination 2016 was conducted for 3 hours 15 minutes and the maximum marks were 100. There were 4 sections in the question paper which are described as follows:

1. In Section-A, there were 10 questions out of which any 7 was necessary to attempt and answer in a sentence. Each right answer would fetch 2 marks. 

2. Section B comprised 7 questions out of which any 4 had to be answered. Each correct answer would fetch 5 marks.  

3. Section C comprised 7 questions out of which 4 questions had to be answered. Each question carried 14 marks. 

4. Section D consisted of 3 questions and students had to answer 2 out of them. Each question answered was given 5 marks.
