The MHT CET application form is released by the Maharashtra government each year to aid students in their hunt for an excellent career option in engineering. This year the last date for filling up the application is 29th February 2020. Students are required to fill up the application with relevant details and documents and also pay the necessary fee to complete the process. Here is all you need to know about filing the form and getting through the process seamlessly.
Before you fill-up the MHT CET application, you have to register for the same.
Enter the following details one by one, and your registration is done.
Name of candidate.
Personal details - mobile number, email ID, date of birth, and gender.
Family details - the name of father/husband/guardian and mother.
Username (alphabets and numbers between 4 and 15 characters)
Password (upper and lower case alphabets, special character, number between 8 and 20 characters)
After your username and password is created, you have to log in using these details to fill up the MHT CET application using the following steps:
Step 1: Click on the tab that reads ‘My Application’.
Step 2: A box with essential instructions will be displayed, and you have to click on ‘Ok’ to proceed further.
Step 3: Application form with auto-filled personal details will get displayed. You will have to enter a permanent and correspondence address.
Step 4: Enter other details, like nationality, category, disability (if applicable), domicile, and religion.
Step 5: Enter the exams you have qualified – SSC/CBSE/ICSE or any equivalent exam.
Step 6: Other relevant details to be entered are mode of the question paper (English/Marathi/Urdu), exam category (PCM/PCB), exam centre (four options in your order of preference).
Make sure, you fill out the details in the MHT CET application form in their correct and valid field, failing which you might fall into disparity later on.
Watch out for the dates to fill the online CET application form. You have to fill-up the form and submit the fees using the online mode only.
Mark these dates while you fill-up the online application, because you would not be allowed to make any changes once the application is finally submitted along with the fees.
Payment of fees for MHT CET application can be made – either online or offline. You can pay through net banking or UPI when you make the payment online. On the other hand, for offline payments, you have to deposit the fees with a bank and collect the Bank Challan from there.
Once the payment is made, you will be given a receipt. Download the receipt if you are paying online, or collect it from the bank if paying offline. Also, make sure you pay within the CET application last date to avoid paying penalties.
There is no provision to rectify the details after final submission. However, if there is any major mistake, you can opt to cancel your application by going to the official website and clicking on ‘cancel application’.
You will receive an OTP in your registered mobile number, which is to be entered during cancellation. After that, you can apply a fresh MHT CET application form with necessary details.
You have two options to retrieve a forgotten password for the online application – through email or mobile number. In both cases, follow the steps mentioned below after clicking on ‘forgot password’:
Step 1: Enter your username.
Step 2: Type the displayed captcha.
Step 3: Click ‘send OTP to mobile/email’ as per your convenience.
Step 4: Type in the received OTP.
Step 5: Create a new password consisting of a special character and a capital letter.
Step 6: Confirm the password by entering it again.
Submit these details for final confirmation and your new password is ready to use for further login.
After logging in to MHT CET application form, click on ‘forgot username’. You can then enter the following details:
On submitting these details, you will receive the username in your registered mobile number.
Yes. You can fill up an MHT CET application even if you are not from Maharashtra. An NRI/OCI PIO can also apply for the same. However, non-Maharashtrians will be eligible for seats other than the ones reserved for state candidates.
No. It is not mandatory to take a print out. You can, however, keep it downloaded in your device for future reference.
