उत्तर: कविता 'घर की वापसी' कवि के परिवार और सदस्यों पर आधारित है।

2. 'पेशेवर गरीब' से कवि का क्या अभिप्राय है?

उत्तर: 'पेशेवर गरीब' से कवि का यह कहना है कि वह गरीब हैं, वह सब इसके कारण भले ही अपनी सारी ज़रूरतें पूरी नहीं कर पाते परंतु उन्हें समझते और जानते खूब हैं।

3. "दो दिए हैं" यह किसके संदर्भ में कहा गया है?

उत्तर: यह कवि ने अपनी बेटी के संदर्भ में कहा है। वह कहते हैं कि उनकी बेटी की आँखें मंदिर में जलते दिए की तरह हैं।

उत्तर: पाँच जोड़ी आँखों से कवि यह कहना चाहते हैं कि मेरे घर में पाँच जोड़ी आँखें अर्थात पाँच सदस्य हैं।

2. "पिता की आँखें लोहसाँय की ठंडी सलाखें हैं।" से कवि का क्या अभिप्राय है?

उत्तर: इस पंक्ति से कवि यह बताते हैं कि पिता पहले कभी फ़ौलादी और मज़बूत हुआ करते थे परंतु अब उन पर बुढ़ापा कागज़ हो चुका है।

3. इस कविता में कवि ने अपनी माँ और उसकी आँखों को कैसे वर्णित किया है?

उत्तर: इस कविता में कवि ने अपनी माँ की आँखों की तुलना एक बस के फटे हुए टायर से की है। वह कहते हैं कि उनकी माँ की आँखें बस के फटे हुए टायर के समान है क्योंकि वह अंधी हैं और देख नहीं सकती।

उत्तर: उपरोक्त पंक्ति से कवि यह बताना चाहते हैं कि बेटी की आँखें ऐसी हैं मानो मंदिर की दीवार पर जलते घी के दिए हैं अर्थात उनकी बेटी बहुत ही सुशील, शांत तथा सभ्य स्वभाव की व्यक्ति है। जिस प्रकार मंदिर का दिया सौम्यता तथा सुख पहुँचाता है उसकी प्रकार उनकी पुत्री की आँखों में देखने पर भी उन्हें सुख और शांति प्राप्त होती है।

उत्तर: 'मेरे घर में पाँच जोड़ी आँखें हैं' कवि ऐसा इसलिए कहते हैं क्योंकि उनके घर में पाँच सदस्य हैं।

2. कवि ने अपनी पत्नी की आँखों की तुलना हाथों से क्यों की है?

उत्तर: कवि ने अपनी पत्नी की आँखों की तुलना हाथों से की है क्योंकि जिस प्रकार व्यक्ती को हाथों का सहारा होता है उसी प्रकार उन्हें उनकी पत्नी का सहारा है। जब कवि मुश्किल समय से गुज़र रहे होते हैं और कठिन मोड़ पर होते हैं तब उनकी पत्नी की आँखों में देखने से ही उन्हें इतनी शक्ति मिल जाती है कि मानो एक गिरते हुए व्यक्ती को हाथों ने थाम लिया हो।

उत्तर: कवि के अनुसार अमीरी और गरीबी का रिश्तों पर काफी प्रभाव पड़ता है। जो लोग अमीर होते हैं वह अपनी सारी ज़रूरतें पूरी कर लेते हैं, उनके पास सारे ऐश-ओ-आराम होते हैं परंतु उनके रिश्तों में नजदीकियां नहीं होती, वह लोग आपस में ज़्यादा करीब नहीं होते। वह केवल पैसे के पीछे भागते हैं और परिवार को समय नहीं देते। वहीं दूसरी ओर जो गरीब होते हैं भले ही उनके पास अनेक चीज़ों की कमी हो परंतु उनमे आपस में प्रेम, नज़दीक और करीबी भरपूर होती हैं।
