Sample Paper for CBSE Class 11 Economics with Solutions - Free PDF Download

Class 11th forms the base for class 12th which is a huge turning point of one’s student life. Especially in the case of Economics, it is in class 11th that the students start to study real economic theory rather than the Indian Economy chapters that they studied in lower classes. CBSE Class 11 has allotted 80 marks for theory exams and 20 marks for the project work. These 80 marks are split into two subjects, Introductory Microeconomics and Statistics for Economics. Sample Question Paper for Class 11 CBSE Economics

In the Statistics for Economics part of the paper, the students are expected to know the collection, organizing, presentation, and analysis of quantitative data. The portions of statistics are divided into three main units, an introduction which has been allotted with 7 classes does not carry any mark. The second unit is concerned with the collection, organization, and presentation of data which call for 27 teaching periods and 13 marks. The third unit is statistical tools and interpretation which has 41 teaching periods and 27 marks. 

The microeconomic part of the paper has 4 main units. The introduction part carries 4 marks and 54 teaching periods have been allotted for this section. Consumer Equilibrium and Demand and the unit of Producer Behaviour and supply both carry 13 marks each. The unit of Forms of Market and Price Determination under perfect competition carries 10 marks under 13 teaching periods. The project work in addition to the theory exam carries 20 marks.


CBSE Economics Sample Paper for Class 11 PDF
