The Devastating Forest Fire

Once upon a time, there was a huge forest. Animals and birds live there together following the rules of nature.

The summer season was exceptionally dry that year. The water sources receded considerably. Trees and grasslands dried out making food scarce. One day, a small fire broke out in the jungle. Nobody knows the reason because the dryness made it spread and become a wild forest fire.

As the wind blew, the fire changed its direction and consumed the entire forest very fast. Many animals succumbed to the fire but the rest escaped to the edge of the forest. They were safe there as the fire had no route to follow.

He flew to the nearest almost-dried water source to fetch a drop of water within his beak and put down the fire. He flew back and forth to make his contribution to saving the home of all the animals and birds.

All Animals Were Surprised

While everyone was watching the horror of a fire consuming the forest, he kept on fetching and dropping water on the fire.

The fox spotted the hummingbird speeding to bring water. He said, “What are you doing?”

The hummingbird did not pause and replied, “I am putting down this fire.”

All the animals warned the hummingbird. They said, “Stop, little bird! You will be consumed by the fire. Your small wings will burn out. Save yourself!”

The hummingbird did not listen to anyone. He was determined to save the forest. It was his world and he was going to save it even if it required his last breath.
