Hint: Grain and husk are both solids. Grain is heavier than husk. Husk is the outer covering of the seeds. Heavier solid particles present in liquid can be separated by decantation.

Complete step by step solution:
Let’s see what the definition of the process of decantation is.
Decantation
It is the process of physical separation of a heavier particle which settles down on the surface of the vessel filled with water when left for some time.
The heavier particles are allowed to settle on the surface and then slowly the liquid is poured out of the vessel keeping the solid impurity undisturbed.
This type of separation is used for the separation of solid and liquid.
But, grain and husk both are solids. So, decantation cannot be used for their separation.

Winnowing
It is a method of separation of two solids differing in weights. In this method the heavier component is separated from the lighter by the help of wind.
The lighter solid particles which are husks in this case are allowed to fall down as the vessel containing the mixture when shacked vigorously. The husk flows with the wind and the heavier grain is left behind.
So, the given statement is false.
Hence, the answer to the above question is option (B)

Note: Both the components of the mixture are solid in nature and differ in weights. To speed up the process of separation a mechanical fan can also be used in winnowing.
